Built for thE “What’s for Dinner?” Moment
Battleground Butcher Bar started with a feeling a lot of Greensboro neighbors know well: it’s 5:15pm, you’re hungry, and every option feels like a compromise. You can drive across town for a good meal, settle for grocery store meat and a tired produce aisle, or wish there were something better closer to home.
Taylor and Jordan Armstrong took that feeling and turned the long-vacant auto shop at 1013 Battleground into a neighborhood butcher-bar, restaurant, and provisions hub made for Westerwood, Fisher Park, Latham Park, and nearby neighbors in Greensboro. It’s a place where you can walk or drive in, meet a friend for a drink, let your kids nibble from the kitchen, and leave with everything you need for tomorrow’s dinner—without leaving your hood.
It’s an Easy Hang, ya’ll
Bike in from the Greenway, walk from Westerwood or pull in on your way home from work: Battleground Butcher Bar is an easy answer to “What are we doing tonight?” Start with a drink and something from the kitchen, grab meats and provisions for tomorrow, then (coming later in 2026) wander next door to Float for dirty sodas and ice cream.
